Product Description & Reviews
Here's more original music from East German Western movies created by the former GDR-owned monopoly film production company DEFA. This sequel mainly presents composer Karl-Ernst Sasse, whose opulent orchestral scores recall Elmer Bernstein's "The Magnificent Seven" or Martin Boettcher ("Winnetou"). Two scores of Wilhelm Neef and three German "saloon songs" complete this 29 track compilation. With the roaring sound of galloping horses, this CD leads you into the Wild West as seen by the socialist officials in the former "German Democratic Republic". Features songs from "Weisse Woelfe" (i.e. "White Wolves"), "Toedlicher Irrtum" ("Fatal Error"), "Osceola," "Ulzana" and "Spur des Falken" ("Trail of the Falcon").
